Welcome Dapper Day

Sunday April 30th 2017

Several different themes were represented

For people who love dressing up, we found that one day was just not enough. Very few people will wear the same outfit twice, so if you thought you had seen all of the unique clothing the first day, you’ll quickly find out that you were mistaken. If Magic Kingdom seems to lend itself to a more vintage look, Epcot brings out a different flavor, but still in the vintage vein. At Epcot, we noticed that a lot of the outfits take on a more international flair. And this particular year, we also saw several outfits that suggested travel, which goes along with the international look. Alexandra dressed as a ship captain. Kirstie looked like a flamenco dancer, we saw a couple with a Bavarian looking theme in their clothing. The other recurring look included lots of dresses with flower prints. Because of all the flowers and arrangements around Epcot, they all fit in beautifully.

Epcot
Fashionable ladies from other countries stop to have pictures taken with some of the group we know. Dapper fashion is not just limited to our country. People around the world have a strong sense of fashion.
Addy fit right in with her flowered dress, matching the Epcot decor. And Jake decked out in his best steampunk attire looked every bit the gentleman. Jake makes the majority of his clothing, including vest, pants and tie.
The paper parasols added a touch of the orient to the feel of these ladies’ dresses.
Stan’s fez makes us think of the eastern European countries. He always brings a llittle extra magic sparkle to the celebrations when he’s there.
No matter what the theme, there are always beautifully dressed ladies in the crowd. These ladies are no exception. Sunglasses were the order of the day, because the sun is bright in Florida in the spring. The sunglasses were not only for protection, but also added to the look of the outfits.
Color and flower prints fit in wonderfully in the Epcot surroundings.
